Grantville
The town of Grantville is located on the eastern coast of Western Port and is on the Bass Highway between Melbourne and Phillip Island. Located approximately 21km to San Remo and 35km to Wonthaggi.
The commercial centre of Grantville extends along service roads on both sides of the Bass Highway. Specialty shops include a pharmacy, community bank, bakery, general store, petrol station and post office.
At the corner of the Bass Highway and Pier Road is Grantville Memorial Park. The park includes a history walk, BBQ facilities and a playground. Further along Pier Road, you will find the coastline. There is a picnic shelter, BBQ, lawns and a paved square which provides views along the coast and towards the nearby pier. When the tide is out, the mud flats are exposed, making the boat ramp tide restricted.
Bass Valley Primary School is the closest Primary School, situated between the Bass Highway and Corinella on the lands of the Bunurong/Boonwurrung people. Situated alongside Bass Valley Primary School, Bass Valley Children’s Centre providing various childcare services.
